Rowan House is a short-term women’s emergency shelter located in the Foothills of Southern Alberta.
The Outreach program is available for women affected by abuse, one-on-one in a community setting when support but not shelter is required.
Over half of our residents are children, aged 0-12 who have unique needs due to the trauma they may have experienced or witnessed.
This program helps women move out of shelter and into their own affordable accommodation while still maintaining supports from Rowan House.
We strongly believe prevention and education are the most effective ways of ending violence within our community.
The care of a person’s core or spirit (soul) is a very important part of any healing.
