Rowan House Society is getting set for it's 5th annual 1 Billion Rising march
12pm-1pm in High River 

Did you know? 1 in 3 women on the planet will be raped or beaten during their lifetime. 

That's 1 Billion Women and Girls.

Meet us at the gazebo in George Lane Park by Noon on March 8th to join us for a lunch hour march through downtown High River, to call for an end to gender-based violence. The 2019 theme is once again Solidarity. Together we rise against all forms of violence and oppression.

Then march participants and all community members are invited to the Okotoks United Church for a

International Women's Day Potluck Celebration
5:30pm-8:30pm

Just bring your favourite potluck dish and enjoy Keynote Speaker: Sinela Jurkova PhD (c) Multiple identities in Culturally Diverse Society
