Full Time Position

Rowan House Society is a charitable organization with a mission to provide crisis intervention, long-term support and education for those affected by family violence in rural communities.  Rowan House is a trauma informed service provider and takes into account an understanding of trauma in all aspects of service delivery.

The goal of this position is to ensure Rowan House Society has sufficient financial resources to support its efforts to address domestic violence in the community, ensuring the Society meets its fund development goals and strategic objectives to achieve its mission.

Reporting to the Executive Director and working in conjunction with the Board Donor Relations Committee, this position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Society’s fund development, and the oversight and implementation of the Society’s resource development plan.

The Donor Engagement Advisor will be responsible for leading multiple fundraising activities that build long-term relations with donors and stakeholders.

Potential candidates will have strong writing skills and ability to source out and access grants.

Post-secondary degree or a diploma in a related field (e.g. Fundraising, Event Planning, Marketing, Public or Community Relations) or equivalent direct industry experience is required, CFRE preferred, with at least two years fund development experience an asset.

Knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence and of local community resources and ability to develop, and steward key relationships with external stakeholders.


Salary: $50,000 annually
